Join trip leaders Jeff & Erin Seward to serve with City Relief in New York City October 6-11, 2025!

What will you be doing?
City Relief is a mobile outreach to those struggling with homelessness and poverty. This Go Team will serve soup, bread, hot chocolate, distribute hygiene kits, and pray for friends on the street in NYC. The team will travel to New York on Monday and will have a free day as a team on Tuesday to explore the city. The team will meet with City Relief staff for orientation prior to serving Wednesday-Saturday. City Relief serves daily, regardless of the weather. 

Cost: $650. What is included in the cost?
Lodging and transportation costs to New York and each outreach site. The group will be staying in an Airbnb home close to the City Relief base. Bedding, linens (sheets, pillows, comforters and bath towels) are provided. Team members will need extra spending money for food on travel days and a few dinners. City Relief provides ingredients for breakfast and snacks at the Airbnb and three meals during the week. The team will travel home on Saturday.

Important Information and Dates
Payments-Team members are responsible for their cost of the trip and background check fee of $12.00*. The group will discuss fundraising options at the first team meeting. A trip deposit of $200 is due at the time of registration. The $450 trip balance is due by September 15.

Team Meetings-There are two mandatory meetings before the trip that you are required to attend. These meetings are a crucial point in your journey of stepping out to serve. The team leaders will answer any questions you have as well as give important, relevant information about the trip. The first team meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 30 at 6:30pm at the Grace Berlin Campus in the Office main conference room.  

Team commissioning-Before the trip, the pastor commissions the team on the platform at the Berlin Campus to go and serve. Each team member is required to attend. 

Team Debrief-The team will meet after the trip to debrief and share. This will be scheduled at a later date.

Volunteer Release Forms/Background Checks-All trip members must complete a City Relief volunteer release form and background check*. Links will be provided to team members.
